Meet Amanda

Helping people feel more at home in their bodies since 2011.

I'm endlessly fascinated by the human body—which is fortunate, because it insists on giving me new puzzles to explore every day!

I've always been drawn to understanding how people move, adapt, and recover. Clinical excellence isn't about having all the answers; it's about asking thoughtful questions, listening carefully, and staying curious.

I became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2011 and have since worked in multidisciplinary clinics, destination spas, wellness retreats, and community settings in Ontario and British Columbia. Each environment taught me something different: the value of collaboration, the importance of slowing down, and the many ways stress, injury, and everyday life shape the body.

One of the most formative chapters of my career came while working on Salt Spring Island, where the pace of care naturally encouraged rest, presence, and nervous system regulation. It deepened my appreciation for creating treatment environments that feel calm, intentional, and restorative—a philosophy I still bring to every appointment today.

Outside the treatment room, I also spent several years supporting new and growing families through a locally owned baby store. That experience reinforced something I already believed: healthcare doesn't happen in isolation. Community, education, and feeling genuinely supported can make an enormous difference during life's most demanding seasons.

Eventually, I realized that massage therapy was where my skills, curiosity, and values aligned most naturally. Returning to practice reminded me that this is the work that feels most meaningful to me.

My Approach

There are a few things I hold with quiet reverence: the intelligence of the body, the healing power of slowing down, and the trust it takes to be cared for.

I believe your body is always communicating—even when the message isn't immediately clear.

My role isn't to force change. It's to listen.

That means paying attention not only to your symptoms, but also to your goals, your experiences, and how your body responds throughout treatment. Whether we're working with chronic pain, jaw dysfunction, headaches, injury rehabilitation, or simply the accumulated effects of a demanding life, my goal is to help you better understand your body and feel more confident living in it.

Meaningful change rarely comes from doing more. It comes from understanding more.

Always Learning

One of my favourite parts of this profession is that there is always more to learn.

Continuing education isn't about collecting certificates—it's about becoming a better clinician. Every course I take gives me another perspective, another question to ask, or another tool to thoughtfully integrate into patient care.

My recent areas of study include TMJ disorders, acupuncture, lymphatic drainage, postpartum rehabilitation, trauma-informed care, yoga, and cupping therapy. My bucket list for the near future include clinical taping, scar care, and therapeutic communication.

Professional Credentials

I graduated with honours from Centennial College's Massage Therapy program in 2011. I am registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. I am also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario and Acupuncture Canada.
